- The area chosen for the staff will usually host spellcasters of some sort, and the staff will be found in the boss chest of that particular dungeon. After retrieving the staff for Enthir and returning the amulet to Onmund, the Dragonborn will be rewarded with Onmund's friendship.
- Once you have the staff, head for the exit at the back of the chamber. Head up some stairs until you come to a barred gate with a lever on the right. Pull the lever and enter the room to be waylaid by Estormo. Ancano sent him to retrieve the staff. Finish him and continue through the passage until you exit to Skyrim.
First of all, I'd like to know if it would be possible to get staves and shields to show on your character's back in third person. If it is possible, I'd like to get some ideas on how it might be accomplished.
The Staff Enchanter, found in Tel Mithryn, is used to create enchanted staves. It is initially located behind a locked door, requiring you to first complete the Reluctant Steward quest in order to gain access.
The Staff Enchanter does not require the Enchanting skill, but still increases the skill when used. In order to create an enchanted staff, you must possess an unenchanted staff of the type desired (unenchanted staves may be purchased from Neloth), know the spell with which you wish to enchant the staff, and possess enough heart stones needed to enchant the staff. There is no requirement that you be able to cast the spell you wish to use to enchant the staff; merely having read the spell tome for it is enough. Not all spells can be enchanted. For details about which spells can be enchanted and what the requirements are, see Craftable Staves. The number of heart stones used to enchant the staff has no effect on the amount of Enchanting skill experience earned.
The Staff of Sheogorath can be crafted here as part of the Staff of SheogorathCreation. The enchanted versions of the Arm of the Moon and the Arm of the Sun can be crafted here as part of the Arms of Chaos Creation.

Skyrim Staff Mods
- A Staff Enchanter can also be found at MyrwatchCC, with the added advantage that it can be accessed after only a short introductory quest without ever having dealt with Neloth.
Bugs[edit]
- The Staff Enchanter in Myrwatch is bugged and grants 20 times more Enchanting experience than it is supposed to. This is due to the Staff Enchanter in Tel Mithryn having a hidden perk (
DLC2StaffEnchantingMult
) that reduces the experience gained by 95%; the Staff Enchanter in Myrwatch has a different Editor ID and thus is unaffected by the perk. ?
